Barr/Davis Auctioneers, LLC was established in 1986 by Stephen J. Barr and James S. Davis, Jr. Sadly, Jim Davis passed away on March 9, 2020 due to an accidental fall. Elam Beiler joined the firm in August 2020 as an apprentice auctioneer.
We are licensed in Pennsylvania and Maryland and can also offer services in Delaware. We offer personalized auction services for real estate, antiques, personal property, and business liquidations of all types.
Our service is not a sideline. Steve Barr is a full time realtor and auctioneer and has been in the real estate business since 1977. He is also a licensed real estate broker appraiser. Steve has consistantly been a top producer in real estate sales in Lancaster and Chester Counties. Philadelphia Magizine recongnized Steve as one of the regions top producers in 2023.
We offer superior service and competetive rates. Our marketing programs include print advertising, internet advertising, multiple listing service entry, email and mailing list distribution and more.
Auctions are a great way to sell your real estate under terms you set, not the buyer. The condiditons of sale are normally on a contingency free agreement with no inspections, financing or other contingencies to worry about and the buyer pays all the realty transfer taxes.
